Left main strut leaking.

– Jacked aircraft. Removed strut from aircraft and found leak at strut cylinder head assembly. Disassembled main strut assembly as necessary to repair leak and reseal strut. Cleaned and inspected strut assembly. Resealed and installed strut cylinder head p/n 63315-00. Reassembled strut with new quad seal p/n 4326, scraper ring p/n AN6231-18, new air valve p/n AN812-1 & air valve gasket p/n AN901-5A. Reinstalled strut in aircraft. Serviced strut with 5606 hydraulic fluid and nitrogen. Bled brakes. Leak and functional checks satisfactory. Removed aircraft from jacks. Work accomplished in accordance with Piper PA-28-181 Archer II AMM. (djv12/06/2024)

Left main tire worn close to limits.

– Jacked aircraft. Removed left main wheel and tire. Disassembled, cleaned and inspected wheel assembly and bearings. Sand blasted, cleaned, primed and painted wheel halves. Cleaned, inspected and repacked wheel bearings. Tire removed Michelin 6.00-6, s/n 4007S00031. Reassembled wheel with Michelin 6.00-6, 6 ply, s/n 4321S00002, (MCL Recap w/o 0032141). Installed on aircraft, serviced to correct pressure and removed from jacks. Work done in accordance with Piper PA28-181 Piper Archer II AMM. (djv12/06/2024)

Number One VOR does not display to GI 275 HSI. Tried on both a VOR and a Localizer.

Unable to duplicate discrepancy on ground. VOR1, VOR2, LOC1 and LOC2 all displayed normal on GI 275 CDI with AV-10 ground test set. Check again next flight.

– Flap bell cranks pivot hardware have corrosion Left & Right.

– Removed corroded hardware. Replace with new AN4-60A bolts, AN960L-4 washers & MS21042L4 nuts. Lubricated rollers. Functional check satisfactory.

Screw pushing through cowling at mufflers.

Re-positioned muffler shroud clamp and applied temporary cowling repair. Permanent repair to cowling to be accomplished during next scheduled maintenance event.
