August 2nd Mission Flight
- SAMI Mission Flight August 2, 2016. Scott Saunders flew lung transplant patient, Rafael Z., with oxygen from Brooksville, Florida to Miami International Airport. They clapped at touchdown for a crosswind landing on 8L at MIA! Please pray Rafael will have a complete recovery. Thank you.
- Currently Steve, Sean and Kevin are working on the Aztec’s annual.

Aztec Parts purchased included seats!
In August SAMI was able to purchase a hangar full of Aztec parts for a quarter of the asking price. This great blessing of parts was moved and organized by Steve, Kevin, Kathy, Sean and Scott. Thank you for all of your hard work to assure the Aztec will have parts to keep flying for our ministry!!!
Forest Shares EAA Air Camp Experience
At our August meeting, fifteen-year-old Forest Schrack, the EAA essay contest winner shared his great experience at EAA Aviation Camp in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Forest received a scholarship to attend the camp where he got to fly a simulator, plus experience flying in a plane and Bell 45 helicopter. He learned about airplane structural integrity by building wooden wing ribs and foam wing cores. Forest also built an instrument case, model gliders and the model rocket he built with a partner which did an excellent job keeping an egg safe upon impact with the ground. Thank you Forest for sharing your great experience with our group!

Mission Conference – Great Things Done with Small Aircraft: October 1st and 2nd SAMI will be hosting teens from Calvary Chapel of Merritt Island. Joe Hurston, Dwight Bell, SAMI and other missionary pilots will give talks and provide free flights. Prayer Request: SAMI is a chapter of Pilots for Christ International. Please join us in praying for the successful purchase of three Phenom 100 6 passenger airplanes to put in three locations across the USA (west coast, central, east coast). The purchase of these planes would include training and each would be set up with a stretcher for non-ambulatory people. These are fast, fuel efficient jets built in Melbourne, Florida. Please pray we find large corporate donors to help us increase our ability to serve. Thank you!
